ViewPointClient ® is a program that can run on a remote computer and communicate with the ViewPoint EyeTracker. ViewPointClient interfaces to a copy of the DLL and exchanges data just like the ViewPoint EyeTracker does, but it typically takes less than one percent of CPU resources. This means that the same “layered” applications can be used on a remote computer just as easily as on the same computer.
Microsoft Windows ethernet communication includes both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of the ViewPointClient and the DLL. The 32-bit versions provide DLL interface to 32-bit programs. These can run on a remote computer or on the same computer in a separate folder.
Apple Macintosh .dylib based ViewPointClient is also included. This allows interfacing to programs running on the Mac.
Linux .so based ethernet communication is also possible.
